My name is Sarah Shin, and I am a board certified orthodontist with backgrounds in many cities.
Education and Background
After born in Evanston, Illinois, most of my life has been spent in Seoul, South Korea. Attending an international school for middle and high school in South Korea built a foundation and smooth transition into higher education in US. I graduated from Smith College in Northampton, MA with a degree in Economics. I spent the next 2 years working in a private dental practice in Cambridge, MA as a treatment coordinator and learned about practice management. I received Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree with cum laude from Tufts University in Boston, MA, and moved to Bronx, NY for general practice residency training at Montefiore Medical Center. Then I moved to Aurora, Colorado and started as an orthodontic resident at University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where I graduated with orthodontic specialty certificate and Master of Dental Science degree.
Since I have various experience in different culture and cities, I would like to understand everyone’s unique background and treat everyone as my own family.
On a Personal Note
When I am not in clinic, I spend most of the time with my family and take advantage of what Colorado can offer: camping in the summer and skiing in the winter.
